AIM Inc. (Headquarters: Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, President and CEO: Yukinori Suzuki) will exhibit at "Eco Techno 2026," to be held from July 8 (Wed) to July 10 (Fri), 2026, at Kitakyushu Messe. At this exhibition, in addition to displaying the actual "AIM EVM," an ultra-compact EV developed in-house, AIM will introduce mobility demonstration experiments in the Kitakyushu Academic Research City and the initiatives of "AIM Mobility Innovation Center Fukuoka," a development base in Kitakyushu City.

In recent years, securing means of transportation in local communities has become a major social issue due to an aging population and the reduction of public transportation. Furthermore, there is a growing demand to address diverse mobility needs, such as circulation transport in tourist areas and last-mile mobility.

To solve these issues, AIM is promoting research and development and demonstration experiments for new mobility services utilizing the ultra-compact EV "AIM EVM."

1. Display of the ultra-compact EV "AIM EVM"

At the venue, the actual ultra-compact EV "AIM EVM" will be displayed. The AIM EVM is an ultra-compact mobility vehicle that can accommodate two passengers, developed as a vehicle that is easy to handle in narrow roads and hilly areas, and is suitable for short-distance travel. It is also equipped with a power supply function that can utilize stored electricity in emergencies, and is designed for local use.

2. Introduction of mobility demonstration experiments in Kitakyushu Academic Research City

In addition, AIM will introduce mobility demonstration experiments being conducted in Kitakyushu Academic Research City. In this project, AIM is working to build a business model for last-mile mobility services using the AIM EVM, with Kitakyushu Academic Research City, where universities, research institutions, and companies are concentrated, as the field. Through actual operations, AIM is verifying the effectiveness of the service in solving local transportation issues and as a new mobility service, and is proceeding with initiatives toward social implementation.

3. Initiatives of AIM Mobility Innovation Center Fukuoka

AIM will also introduce the activities of "AIM Mobility Innovation Center Fukuoka," established in 2025. Leveraging the technical capabilities cultivated in automotive development, the center is promoting R&D and demonstration experiments for next-generation mobility, as well as working on human resource development and industrial revitalization through collaboration with local companies and educational institutions.

Through this exhibition, AIM will communicate its efforts toward solving local transportation issues and realizing a sustainable mobility society, while also deepening cooperation with local governments, companies, universities, and research institutions to promote the social implementation of new mobility services.
