AIM Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Meieki, Nakamura-ku, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture; President: Yukinori Suzuki; hereinafter "AIM") announces that its developed small electric mobility (*), the "AIM EVM," has entered mass production. Accompanying this milestone, 24 units of the AIM EVM arrived in Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture on May 15 as the first large batch.

The AIM EVM has obtained certification across the entirety of Okinawa Prefecture, enabling it to run anywhere within the region, including its remote islands. The 24 vehicles will undergo final checks and maintenance before being sequentially delivered to customers.

While Okinawa is an area with extensive human movement due to tourism, it also requires diversified means of transportation for daily life and differing mobility needs across regions. Through the deployment of the AIM EVM tailored to these regional characteristics, AIM will further advance the provision of accessible and sustainable transportation.

Furthermore, the AIM EVM is equipped with a power supply function, allowing the electricity stored in the vehicle to be supplied to ordinary households. In Okinawa, where power outages frequently occur due to typhoons and other factors, it is highly anticipated to be utilized as an emergency power source during disasters, especially in island areas.

The AIM EVM was developed under the concept of "the smallest unit of mobility infrastructure supporting the community." Its design philosophy reflects local voices, accommodating daily needs regarding size, price, and maintenance costs.

Yukinori Suzuki, President and CEO of AIM, stated:

"The start of mass production and the full-scale rollout in Okinawa represent a major step forward in implementing mobility that aligns with regional realities. We will continue to work on providing sustainable and highly practical transportation infrastructure while closely listening to the voices of each region."

Moving forward, AIM will continue to pursue ideal forms of mobility tailored to the characteristics and challenges of each region, contributing to the realization of sustainable transportation infrastructure.

* Classified as an "Ultra-compact Mobility (certified vehicle)" defined by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. Permitted to operate within regions certified by local municipalities.
