'Princess Anio' Executive Committee The 'Princess Anio' Executive Committee (Brain Group, Yamaha Music Vietnam, NPO International Exchange Promotion Council) will premiere the musical 'Princess Anio' ~ Hẹn gặp lại Again ~ starting Saturday, September 12, at the KAAT Kanagawa Arts Theatre. Prior to the performance, a production announcement was held on Wednesday, May 27, at Hollywood University Hall (6-4-1 Roppongi, Minato-ku, Tokyo). Four main cast members—currently leading Japanese musical actors Mario Tashiro and Ryunosuke Onoda (double cast as Sotaro Araki), and in the title role of Princess Anio (double cast), Kurisu Oto, who was active as a top daughter role in the Takarazuka Revue Flower Troupe, and Vietnamese actress Do Phan Gia Han, chosen through an audition—wore stage costumes designed by costume artist Kodue Hibino. Under the watchful eyes of General Director Daisuke Oyama, who is also an opera singer, and composer Tran Manh Hung, who also demonstrated his skills in the opera 'Princess Anio', they performed the main and duet songs for the first time. In the bustling port town of Hoi An, Sotaro Araki, a merchant from Nagasaki, Japan, fatefully meets Princess Ngoc Hoa, a princess loved by the people. A curious tomboy princess and Sotaro, who chases his dreams across the sea. The two connect their hearts beyond country and status. Laughter fills the port town, surrounded by lively friends. We will deliver a story of love that continues to shine brightly today in an original musical! Sotaro Araki (Double Cast) Captain of the red seal ship 'Araki Ship'. Combining courage and wisdom, he possesses the kindness to help others and the pride of a merchant. He gains the trust of King Nguyen and is given the name 'Nguyen Thai Lan'. Mario Tashiro Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, Faculty of Music, Department of Vocal Music, majoring in tenor. He started playing the piano and violin from a young age and began studying vocal music seriously at the age of 15. He made his opera debut in 2003 in 'A Streetcar Named Desire' while still in university. He made his musical debut in 2009 in 'Marguerite'. Since then, he has been active on numerous stages, mainly in musicals. Major appearances include 'Elisabeth', 'Marie Antoinette', and many others. Winner of the 39th Kazuo Kikuta Theater Award. Ryunosuke Onoda Gaining experience from a young age, he is active mainly in musicals, armed with solid acting skills, dance skills cultivated since childhood, and overwhelming singing ability. In 2011, he won the Levay Special Award at the '1st Sylvester Levay International Musical Singing Concert Competition'. Major appearances include 'Les Misérables', 'Miss Saigon', 'Mary Poppins', and many others. Princess Anio (Princess Ngoc Hoa) (Double Cast) The youngest daughter of King Nguyen. A princess loved by the people for her brightness and kindness. A free-spirited and curious tomboy princess who loves to go out into the town incognito. She has the inner strength to choose her life with her own heart. Kurisu Oto As a daughter role in the Takarazuka Revue Flower Troupe, she has played numerous important roles since joining in 2014. After leaving the troupe in 2022 with 'Years of Pilgrimage ~Liszt Ferenc, Wandering of the Soul~' and 'Fashionable Empire', she has been widely active mainly in musicals. She has appeared in popular works such as 'The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle' and 'Kakegurui'. She is also refining her expressive power in concerts and reading performances, expanding her diverse activities. Do Phan Gia Han Self-taught since the age of 3, from a young age when she didn't understand English, she listened to 'The Phantom of the Opera' from morning till night and imitated the lyrics and melodies. She debuted in the musical 'Alice in Wonderland' at the age of 15 in 2022. In 2023, she won the Silver Award in the vocal category at the Asian Arts Festival. After that, she passed the vocal music department of the Vietnam National Academy of Music at the top of her class. She continues to pursue her passion for music.
