Asbury Park Rock Bar Celebrates Beatles Japan 60th Anniversary with "Beatles Monday" in June

Asbury Park, a rock bar for adults in Shibuya, Tokyo, where you can enjoy classic Western rock & soul hits from the 60s to 90s, will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the legendary rock band The Beatles' visit to Japan on Monday, June 29, 2026. To commemorate this, every Monday from June 1st to June 29th will be designated "Beatles Monday," featuring only Beatles songs played on vinyl records. The official 13 LP albums of The Beatles and "Past Masters" (a singles collection) will be played in reverse order of release, starting from the newest. "Beatles Monday" will kick off on June 1st with the last album, "Let It Be," and conclude on June 29th with their debut album, "Please Please Me." On March 3, 2026, it was taken over by Kiichiro Mochida, a former producer at FM radio station J-WAVE, and underwent a renewal opening. For music lovers who want to "listen to nostalgic Western rock and soul at high volume!" or "have records but no equipment to listen to them at home!", we not only fulfill requests for free but also offer a paid service called "DJ Challenge" where you can play records from our collection or bring your own. During regular business hours (Monday-Saturday, 7 PM - 12 AM), we primarily select Western music from the 70s-90s on analog records. We accept requests for free. If we don't have the record, we will use online resources to fulfill the request as much as possible. We also offer a paid "DJ Challenge" service for those who want to "spin records themselves!" – you can come empty-handed and DJ with the bar's records. Regular customers often bring their own records to DJ.
